Snapmaker's DIY over BUY Contest

With all of these things to worry about, why buy when you can DIY?
That's why, for Snapmaker's 9th Anniversary (June 1st, 2025), we want to dive into the power of personal creation - DIY!
The power to build, repair, and customize your own stuff, exactly how you want it - that is what Snapmaker is all about.
But what kind of celebration is complete without friends?
For this special anniversary, we're partnering with our friends at Revopoint, Polymaker, and head(amame) to run the DIY over BUY Contest!
And more than that, we're opening up the relationship and sharing the love. You only need to use ONE of these brands to build your creation in order to qualify!
What to Make:
What's something you can DIY instead of BUY?
Your creation can be anything: a custom part to fix your favorite old appliance, fun toys for your kids, upcycled old materials into something new and useful. It can be a complex design you make yourself, or something simple. Anything you can do yourself that saves you a trip to the store!
How to Join:
- Make a video or take a picture showing off your DIY creation.
- Upload video to YouTube or upload photos to Instagram with the hashtag #DIYoverBUY
- For YouTube, submit the video to the Gleam plug-in below. For Instagram, we will automatically find entries via the hashtag.
How to Win:
The High Council of Creators (representatives of Revopoint, Polymaker, head(amame), and Snapmaker) will vote to choose the top 4 submissions!
Then, one entry will be selected via Lucky Draw.

The contest will run from 19 May to 23 June 2025.
Specific Rules and Restrictions:
- Your creation must use at least one of the contest sponsoring brands, whether that's Snapmaker, Revopoint, Polymaker, or head(amame).
- You can submit multiple entries but only one can win. Please make sure each entry shows a unique creation, duplicates will be invalidated.
- Your entry must be relevant to the theme of DIY and represent a certain level of quality.
- Prize Note: In some countries/regions, Polymaker is unable to provide standard coupons. Winners from these areas will instead choose their $200 worth of goods and will have them shipped directly from Polymaker.

- Upload your DIY over BUY video to YouTube (Regular or Shorts are both cool) or Photo to Instagram with the hashtag #DIYoverBUY. If you've made a video, please submit it to the Gleam link above for our convenience.
- Your creation must use at least one of the contest sponsoring brands, whether that's Snapmaker, Revopoint, Polymaker, or head(amame).
- You can submit multiple entries but only one can win. Please make sure each entry shows a unique creation, duplicates will be invalidated.
- Your entry must be relevant to the theme of DIY and represent a certain level of quality.
- Submissions not following proper safety protocols will be disqualified.

Representatives of Revopoint, Polymaker, head(amame), and Snapmaker will serve as judges.
The judges will score the entries and the top 5 entries will win.
At least one winner will be a photo entry.

- How are the winners picked?
The winners are picked based on the evaluation method explained above. Entries are also screened for validity based on the Rules mentioned above.
- How do I know if I win?
We will announce the results on our official social media accounts. We will also contact the winners directly.
- If I win, how do I claim the prize?
We will contact you through the email address you logged in with, or the Instagram account you posted with. Please reply to claim your prize.
- What if I upload the wrong video link?
You can contact us on social media or via affiliate[@]snapmaker.com and we will help to reset your entry.
- Who should I ask if I have questions about this event?

🔧Terms and Conditions
- The winning submissions will be announced within 2 weeks of the contest closing date, and the winners will be contacted via the email they signed up with, or through their Instagram account. Arrangements will be made for the winners to receive their preferred prizes. We'll do our best to contact the winners, but if we reach out several times over the course of a week or more with no response, the prize will be awarded to the next highest scoring submission that has not already won.
- By submitting an entry, you authorize the Sponsors (Revopoint, Polymaker, head(amame), or Snapmaker), or any person acting on behalf of the Sponsors to edit, publish, distribute, and use for any purpose your submitted content throughout the world without any further notice, review, or consent.
- Prize Note: In some countries/regions, Polymaker is unable to provide standard coupons. Winners from these areas will instead choose their $200 worth of goods and will have them shipped directly from Polymaker.
